may i present to you....the team!

Elaine MacCorkle:

well, you met elaine a few posts ago. in case you do not remember her here she is hanging out on her balcony the floor above mine during one of the many parades they had these past two weeks!

we are thinking about moving our beds into the same room on the second floor of our piso and making my room kind of a hang out sort of a room. functionality would be one reason for this and our little ghostly friend would be another. the drafts tend to push my door open and then three to five minutes later slam it shut multiple times during the night. we hear noises in our kitchen and to elaine's ears it sounds as though someone is pacing around my room at night so we thought slumber parties would be exceedingly fun!

elaine is the middle child in our little family.





Ross Bruce:
Ross is a junior at Georgia State University. He would like to be a corporate event planner some day. He is involved with CCF at Georgia Tech which is how he heard about globalscope. He is studying abroad through Augusta State University....what a mess!

Here Ross is talking to his momma on skype, it is funny to watch him talk to his family and to hear one side of his conversation. He is incredibly excited about all things and he makes you want to enjoy it too because you feel like you are missing out on something good!!!! He is the little brother in our little family!





Adam and Michelle Suter:

They moved from globalscope in Brazil to Spain last February. Adam is incharge of all of us young'ns and is so sweet. He is a grad of Georgia Tech and Michelle graduated from UGA. They are expecting their first little one somewhere around January 10th. I think they both have a lot to teach me! They are the most caring people, always serving and working joyfully!!! What a treat to be around.





The Rest of the Full Timers:
Cheryl: On your far left you see Cheryl holding Juliette. Cherly is a graduate of Georgia Tech and was on the first team over here to Salamanca with globalscope. She is an extremely talented artist and claims to be moody. I told her just to let me know what mood she's in and i'd adjust accordingly. She is wonderful!

Chris : Chris is pictured standing behind Cheryl and Juliette. Chris is a graduate of Georgia Tech. He spent five years there, interned with CCF for a year, attended seminary for a year while raising support to be on the first team over here with Globalscope. He is a very talented guitar player and singer. also it is said that his incredible dance moves make everyone feel comfortable to get out on the dance floor! He is incredible!

Sophie: The mother of Juliette, Sophie is the shortest of the pictured bunch. She is from Belgium and graduated from Georgia Tech! She and her husband are the team leaders for the globalscop missionaries in Salamanca. They have two children: Juliette is now 2 years old and Liam (not pictured) is 9 months old. They are beautiful delights and add a little comic relief to the house (though comic relief is not really needed because this team is so fantastic!)

Jeremy: (whom i deemed J-man tonight...no one has EVER called him that before! who has he been hanging out with?) though he appears to be the shortest guy in this picture the fact is that really reaches 6 feet 5 inches in height, taller than chris. He graduated from....i'll give you one guess! yep, Georgia Tech, then interned for CCF for a year, went to seminary for a year while raising support for Globalscope Salamanca. He too was on the original team over hear two years ago and is hilarious. Elaine called him a wallflower the other night at the club, but he soon thereafter proved us wrong! He and Chris have been best buds since 11th grade! Jeremy is alawys willing to lend a helping hand or some helping height in many cases! One of his favorite questions to ask people is: what is your favorite memory from [insert age/grade in life here].

Jesse: Last but certainly not least is our faithful team leader Jesse, husband of Sophie. Jesse pours into his family first and for most and pours into the team and the students of Salamanca next. He too graduated from Ga Tech and attended seminary for 2 years before heading up the team to salamanca. the dedication of his original team plus the immense growth of this campus house ministry is a testimony to the servant leadership that characterizes this man.

So this is the incredible team that the Lord has ever so graciously allowed me to be a part of. The time and effort that they so selflessly put into pouring in the lives of the students in Salamanca is a challenge and blessing to see. From the moment I met up with Adam and Ross at the airport i have felt completely accepted, taken care of and loved! Keep all of us in your prayers!
